In an electrical control panel, a control component is any logic device in a control circuit. In their simplest form they’re discrete components (relays, timers) that perform one logic function. In their more advanced form they’re a package of components that can perform many logic functions. Below are the control components we regularly use and recommend. Best Control Relay recommendation

A control relay is the simplest discrete control component. Its coil (logic input) can be energized (logical 1) and de-energized (logical 0) and its contacts change state based on its coil. We generally order them with 1, 2, and 4 pole double throw contacts. We order the 2, and 4 pole version with four options 1) Momentary manual operator, 2) Maintained manual operator, 3) Coil Energized Indicator, 4) Contact State flag to simplify shop and field testing. A Timing Relay is the next simplest discrete electrical control device. They are control relays with built-in timers to control when their contacts change state. Timing relays can be ordered as a single function device or as multi-function devices that can be configured to operate as 1) On Delay, 2) Off Delay, 3) One Shot, 4) Flasher, ) 5 Asynchronous Repeat Cycle Timer.
